Overall aims and purpose

strong textAmcan y modiwl hwn yw cloriannu'n feirniadol, ar ffurf traethodau unigol a thrafodaethau seminar, ddetholiad o weithiau llenyddol cyfoes. Rhoddir sylw hefyd i gynllunio traethodau a threfnu gwybodaeth yn unol â chonfensiynau safonol.

Course content

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn canolbwyntio ar ddetholiad o weithiau gan lenorion cyfoes. Ar ddechrau’r modiwl bydd cyfres o sesiynau hyfforddi ar faterion technegol yn ymwneud â chynllunio traethodau academaidd, e.e. dulliau cyfeirio, trefnu nodiadau, paratoi llyfryddiaeth ac osgoi llên-ladrata. Symudir wedyn at destunau gosod y modiwl: yn achos pob testun yn ei dro, ceir darlithoedd rhagarweiniol cyn rhannu’n ddiweddarach yn grwpiau seminar a rydd gyfle i fyfyrwyr drafod y testunau ar lafar. Rhoddir deunyddiau sy’n berthnasol i’r modiwl ar safle Blackboard, a disgwylir i fyfyrwyr lawrlwytho’r deunyddiau hyn drostynt eu hunain. Ar Blackboard hefyd y ceir teitlau a rhestrau darllen y traethodau. Y ddau destun gosod yn 2016-17 fydd: Guto Dafydd, Ni Bia'r Awyr (2014), a Lleucu Roberts, Saith Oes Efa (2014).

B- - B+: Dylai traethodau ddangos dealltwriaeth dda o’r agweddau technegol perthnasol. Dylai’r traethodau a’r trafodaethau llafar ddangos gwybodaeth drylwyr o’r testunau a drafodir. Dylai’r gwaith a gyflwynir, ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, hefyd ddangos gallu i nodi nifer o gyfeiriadau cymharol perthnasol, gafael dda ar gystrawen a theithi’r Gymraeg ac ar dermau technegol a geirfa’r maes penodol hwn, a pharodrwydd i fynegi barn bersonol yn hyderus ar nifer o ddadleuon a damcaniaethau.
