Overall aims and purpose

Gan ddilyn cynllun cronolegol, bydd y modiwl hwn yn cychwyn drwy sylwi'n gryno ar rai o fannau cychwyn y nofel Orllewinol yn ystod y Cyfnod Modern. Eir ati wedyn i gynnig trawsolwg o hynt y nofel Gymraeg ers y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg gan roi sylw arbennig i waith llwyddiannus Daniel Owen. Trwy ganolbwyntio ar ddetholiad cynrychioliadol o nofelau a gyhoeddwyd yn ystod yr ugeinfed ganrif, trafodir prif dueddiadau'r genre yn Gymraeg, e.e. y cronicl cymdeithasol; y nofel syniadau; y nofel hanes. Ymhlith y nofelwyr y rhoddir enghreifftiau o'u gwaith dan y chwyddwydr bydd Daniel Owen, Saunders Lewis, Kate Roberts, Islwyn Ffowc Elis, Angharad Tomos, Robin Llywelyn a Mihangel Morgan. Daw'r modiwl i ben gyda sylw cryno i hynt y nofel Gymraeg yn ystod yr unfed ganrif ar hugain. Mewn gair, ystyrir sut y mae nofelwyr Cymraeg wedi ymelwa ar y rhyddid sy'n gynhenid i genre y nofel ac wedi ymdrechu i'w ymestyn ymhellach.

Gellir cofrestru i ddilyn y modiwl hwn wyneb yn wyneb a/neu ar-lein, e.e. drwy Microsoft Teams neu Blackboard Collaborate.
