Overall aims and purpose

Cyflwyniad yw’r modiwl rhyngddisgyblaethol hwn i ddatblygiad y cysyniad o reoli a datblygu adnoddau cynaliadwy sy’n deillio o newid yn y boblogaeth fyd-eang, anghyfartaledd a datblygiad anghyson. Ymdrinnir â’r ddealltwriaeth fyd-eang gytunedig o ddatblygiad cynaliadwy trwy edrych ar gyfraniad dadansoddiadau economaidd, dulliau llywodraethu a chynllunio amgylcheddol, e.e. cynaladwyedd economaidd yn erbyn gwerthuso buddsoddiadau a chynaladwyedd yn y ffordd gonfensiynol a mesur cyfalaf naturiol. Astudir y strategaethau cynaliadwy lleol a rhanbarthol a fabwysiadwyd mewn nifer o feysydd penodol lle mae'r cysyniad o ddatblygiad cynaliadwy’n berthnasol, e.e. trafnidiaeth, coedwigaeth, ynni, cadwraeth bioamrywiaeth, bwyd a datblygu twristiaeth trwy ddadansoddi astudiaethau achos mewn rhanbarthau daearyddol cyferbyniol. Archwilir y broses o reoli effeithiau amgylcheddol a mesur cynnydd tuag at gynaladwyedd gan gyfeirio at nifer o ddulliau ac arfau monitro cyfredol, e.e. gwerthusiadau cynaladwyedd, EAI, ôl-troed eco ac ôl-troed carbon, EMS, dadansoddiad cost a budd, etc. Rhoddir enghreifftiau o asiantaethau statudol ac anstatudol sy’n cyflwyno polisïau datblygiad cynaladwy mewn mentrau rhyngwladol a mentrau cynllunio a mentrau cymunedol. Rhoddir pwyslais arbennig ar ymateb y trydydd sector i her datblygiad cynaladwy gydag ymchwil a gweithgareddau grŵp ar y thema hon. Bydd myfyrwyr yn gwneud gwaith cwrs ar sail project grŵp a defnyddir rhywfaint o’r drafodaeth ddamcaniaethol uchod ar brojectau neu senarios cymunedol. Bydd rhai ohonynt yn seiliedig ar ymchwil weithredu yn cynnwys sgiliau sylfaenol rheoli project sy’n berthnasol i yrfa ym maes datblygiad cynaladwy.

Course content

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn edrych ar ddatblygiad cynaladwy sy'n seiliedig ar ffyrdd effeithiol o ddiogelu’r amgylchedd, defnyddio adnoddau naturiol yn gall, cynnal cymunedau sefydlog a ffyniannus lle bodlonir anghenion pawb. Ystyrir hefyd y syniadau, sy’n newid ac yn peri anghytundeb, am rym, cymuned, hynodrwydd lleoliad a chynnydd cymdeithasol ynghyd â chynllunio amgylcheddol a dulliau rheoli effeithiol. Cyflwynir hefyd enghreifftiau penodol o ardaloedd daearyddol cyferbyniol lle defnyddir arfau i weithio tuag at gynaladwyedd, rheoli cynaladwyedd a monitro cynaladwyedd, e.e. EIA, SEA, dadansoddi cost a budd ac astudiaethau achos penodol. Er mwyn ystyried gweithgarwch economaidd strategol yng nghwmpas cynaladwyedd, edrychir yn fanwl ar y drafodaeth ddamcaniaethol mewn sawl cyd-destun, e.e. trafnidiaeth gynaliadwy, twristiaeth gynaliadwy, amaethyddiaeth gynaliadwy, dyfodol ynni. Ystyrir datblygiad y cysyniad o gynaladwyedd mewn cyflwyniad cyffredinol i boblogaeth sy’n newid a’r ddadl ynglŷn â datblygu adnoddau technolegol. Ystyrir y theorïau economaidd sy’n ymwneud â rheoli adnoddau naturiol mewn dull doeth ynghyd â’r syniad o lywodraethu datblygiad cynaladwy sy’n cynnwys cyrff rhyngwladol, e.e. TNC a grwpiau ymgyrchu. Caiff myfyrwyr gyfle i weithio gyda staff mewn timau project bach (4 ar y mwyaf) ar senarios astudiaethau achos penodol yn cynnwys technegau a ddefnyddir ar hyn o bryd gan ymarferwyr cynaladwyedd lleol. Bydd rhai o’r projectau hyn yn cynnwys cyrff cymunedol lleol.

  2. Gwerthfawrogi’r cyd-destunau daearyddol gwahanol ble gellir defnyddio’r syniad o ddatblygiad cynaladwy.

  3. Deall a chofio tystiolaeth a welwyd mewn darlithoedd ac yn y maes o gyd-destunau penodol rheoli adnoddau’n gynaliadwy e.e. ynni, trafnidiaeth, twristiaeth.

  4. Deall sut y gellir defnyddio gwybodaeth wyddonol a dealltwriaeth sosio-economaidd i reoli gwahanol fathau o adnoddau byd-eang mewn dull doeth.

  5. Disgrifio amrywiaeth o ddulliau ac arfau a ddefnyddir i reoli a monitro cynaladwyedd.

  6. Datblygu’r sgiliau tîm project a’r ddealltwriaeth sydd ynghlwm ag ymarfer datblygiad cynaladwy.
