Overview

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn eich cyflwyno i nifer o safbwyntiau yn y proffesiwn cyfieithu. Trwy gyfuniad o arddulliau addysgu, gan gynnwys gweithdai dan arweiniad ymarferwyr, byddwch yn archwilio agweddau ar gyfieithu cymhwysol gan gynnwys offer â chymorth cyfrifiadur, moeseg a chodau ymddygiad proffesiynol, rheoli prosiectau cyfieithu, rheoli terminoleg a sgiliau proffesiynol sy’n berthnasol i’r diwydiant. Byddwch hefyd yn cael eich cyflwyno i gyfeithu ar y pryd.

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn cyflwyno myfyrwyr i safbwyntiau allweddol yn y proffesiwn cyfieithu. Trwy gyfuniad o arddulliau addysgu, gan gynnwys gweithdai dan arweiniad ymarferwyr, bydd myfyrwyr yn archwilio agweddau ar gyfieithu cymhwysol gan gynnwys offer â chymorth cyfrifiadur, terminoleg a chodau ymddygiad proffesiynol, rheoli prosiectau cyfieithu a sgiliau proffesiynol sy’n berthnasol i’r diwydiant. Byddant hefyd yn cael eu cyflwyno i gyfieithu ar y pryd.

Assessment Strategy

-threshold -C- - C+: Dylai myfyrwyr ddangos dealltwriaeth boddhaol o'r testun a astudir, gan ffurfio casgliadau pendant ynghylch dilysrwydd a defnyddiau theori feirniadol yn gyffredinol.

-good -B- - B+: Bydd myfyrwyr sy'n derbyn y graddau asesu uwch wedi dadansoddi'r ffynonellau a ddarperir, gan werthuso deunydd eilaidd ar destunau penodol a'u hasesu fel maent yn ffurfio'u casgliadau argyhoeddiadol eu hunain.

-excellent -A- - A*: Er mwyn cael y graddau uchaf, bydd myfyrwyr wedi ychwanegu at y testunau a astudir yn y dosbarth gyda deunydd darllen gwreiddiol ac eilaidd ychwanegol. Byddant wedi dadansoddi a gwerthuso darlleniadau sydd eisoes yn bod o theori feirniadol a dod i'w casgliadau arloesol ac ystyriol eu hunain.

  • Bydd myfyrwyr yn cael mwy o ymwybyddiaeth o gysyniad cyfieithu cymhwysol a'i amrywiaeth eang o'i amlygiadau.

  • Bydd myfyrwyr yn cael trosolwg o fethodoleg cyfieithu ac offer cyfieithu drwy gymorth cyfrifiadur.

  • Bydd myfyrwyr yn gallu dadansoddi'r defnyddiau a dilysrwydd amrywiaeth eang o ddulliau ymarferol o gyfieithu.

Arholiad dwy awr i'w gynnal yn ystod cyfnod arholiadau semester 2. Mae'n cynnwys tri chwestiwn y mae'n rhaid i fyfyrwyr ateb dau ohonynt. Portffolio Prosiect Cyfieithu Proffesiynol: Byddwch yn cael prosiect cyfieithu efelychiedig ar gyfer cwsmer. Heb gynhyrchu cyfieithiad o’r ST, byddwch yn creu llyfr log prosiect cyfieithu a fydd yn cynnwys: i. Enghraifft o gyfathrebu ysgrifenedig gyda'ch cyflogwr lle byddwch yn ceisio egluro gofynion, amcanion a dibenion y cleient; derbynwyr y gwasanaeth cyfieithu; a'ch trafodaethau eich hun gyda'r cleient i ddiffinio terfynau amser, cyfraddau/anfonebu, amodau gwaith, mynediad at wybodaeth, contractau, hawliau, cyfrifoldebau ac unrhyw fater moesegol a godir gan y prosiect. (20%) ii. Dadansoddiad o’r ddogfen ffynhonnell, gan nodi anawsterau testunol a gwybyddol posibl ac asesu’r strategaethau a’r adnoddau sydd eu hangen ar gyfer cyfieithu priodol yn unol â briff y cleient a’r cyd-destun cyfathrebol (rhwng 700-1000 o eiriau). (40%) iii. Adroddiad ar y cymwysiadau TG mwyaf perthnasol, gan gynnwys yr ystod lawn o feddalwedd swyddfa, peiriannau chwilio, offer seiliedig ar gorpws, offer dadansoddi testun, cronfeydd data terminolegol ac dulliau CAT a fydd yn eich cynorthwyo i gyflawni'r prosiect cyfieithu (rhwng 700-1000 o eiriau). (30%) iv. Eich anfoneb i'r cleient. (10%)
