Overview

Modiwl sy'n atgyfnerthu a chynyddu dealltwriaeth myfyrwyr o wahanol fesurau troseddu a sut mae’r prif asiantaethau troseddol yn gweithredu o dan ofynion pryderon cynyddol ar lefel rhyngwladol. Gwerthusir ac adolygir rôl, cyfrifoldebau a lefelau atebolrwydd y prif asiantaethau cyfiawnder troseddol yng nghyd-destun pryderon cyfoes am fathau penodol o droseddau a throseddwyr, megis troseddau ieuenctid, terfysgaeth, seiber a throseddau difrifol a threfniadol yn bennaf.

Ymdrinnir a'r themau canlynol:

Adolygir y system cyfiawnder troseddol, gan edrych yn fanylach ar rhai o broblemau'r sector. Ystyrir tuedd yn y system cyfiawnder troseddol a'r gyfraith o safbwynt grwpiau hil ag ethnig, gender a rhywioldeb, gan ystyried holl amrediad anghydraddoldebau mewn perthynas a chyfiawnder. Gwerthusir y dadleuon mwyaf blaenllaw o safbwynt erlyniaeth trais rhywiol a strategaethau i gynnig gwell cydlyniadaeth ag ymateb polisi. Ymdrinnir yn ddwys gyda niwed cymdeithasol sy'n deillio o droseddau difrifol a threfniadol megis troseddu coler wen, terfysgaeth, llafur gorfodol, masnachu pobl. Ystyrir hefyd niwed yn deillio o droseddau'r stryd, panig moesol, troseddwyr ifanc ac ecsbloetio mewn throseddu gangiau.

Rhagorol - Ystod graddau A minws at A+ Aseiniad Dangos dealltwriaeth feirniadol o batrymau trosedd ac ymagwedd soffistigedig tuag at ystadegau troseddol; rhoi cyfrif o'r broses cyfiawnder troseddol sy'n cynnwys gwerthusiad beirniadol sylweddol; dangos dealltwriaeth dda o swyddogaethau allweddol y system cyfiawnder troseddol yng Nghymru a Lloegr, ac ymgymryd â gwerthusiad beirniadol o'r systemau hyn; gwerthuso’n feirniadol a chynnig dadansoddiad cymharol.

Cyflwyniad Llafar Dangos dealltwriaeth feirniadol o batrymau trosedd ac ymagwedd soffistigedig tuag at ystadegau troseddol; dangos gwerthfawrogiad beirniadol o oblygiadau rhagfarn gynhenid y system cyfiawnder troseddol; cynnig dadansoddi a gwerthusiad grymus o faterion cyfreithiol, cymdeithasol a pholisi pwysig mewn perthynas â meysydd penodol o gyfraith droseddol a chyfiawnder troseddol.

Learning Outcomes

  • Cloriannu ag asesu dadleuon ar faterion cyfreithiol, cymdeithasol a pholisi sy'n llywio a dylanwadu ar weithdrefnau ac ymarfer cyfiawnder troseddol.

  • Dadansoddi'n drylwyr o'r ffordd y mae asiantaethau cyfiawnder troseddol yn ymateb i newid mewn trosedd, troseddwyr a blaenoriaethau gwleidyddol.

  • Dadansoddi'n feirniadol sut mae'r system cyfiawnder troseddol yn dangos tuedd yn erbyn troseddau, troseddwyr a grwpiau cymdeithasol penodol.

  • Datblygu dealltwriaeth feirniadol o bwerau, cyfrifoldebau a strwythurau atebolrwydd y prif asiantaethau cyfiawnder troseddol.

  • Datblygu gwerthfawrogiad o werth dadansoddiad cymharol o gyfiawnder troseddol a'r system gosb.
