Overall aims and purpose

Archwilio effeithiau materion byd-eang cyfredol ar les a datblygiad plant o fewn amrediad o gyd-destunau a phersbectifau gwahanol.

Course content

Bydd cynnwys y modiwl yn canolbwyntio ar heriau moesol, moesegol, economaidd a gwleidyddol yr 21ain ganrif mewn perthynas â diystyru hawliau ac anghenion plant o fewn cyd-destunau gwahanol, gan gynnwys: Plant fel ceiswyr lloches, ymfudwyr economaidd, a ffoaduriaid; plant fel caethweision, llafur plant, a llafur rhad; plant yn filwyr ac yn amddifad oherwydd rhyfel; plant sydd wedi eu hecsbloetio’n rhywiol gan gynnwys merched; plant mewn gwrthdaro diwylliannol a chrefyddol a gweithredoedd terfysgol; plant ag AIDS a phlant yn byw mewn tlodi; Hefyd bydd y modiwl yn ymchwilio i swyddogaeth llywodraethau a sefydliadau anllywodraethol mewn ymyrryd ac eiriol er mwyn creu newid cymdeithasol a chyfiawnder a thegwch i blant mewn argyfwng gan gynnwys edrych yn fanwl ar adroddiadau diweddar ar les plant.

Bydd myfyrwyr llwyddiannus 1. gyda dealltwriaeth dda o ddylanwad materion byd-eang cyfredol, mewn amryw wledydd ar draws y byd datblygedig a datblygol, ar anghenion a datblygiad plant yn gymdeithasol, amgylcheddol, ac addysgol; 2. yn gallu adnabod a gwerthfawrogi y ffactorau economaidd a gwleidyddol allweddol sy'n cydadweithio mewn gwledydd sy'n camdrin hawliau plant; 3. yn deall y cysyniad o ddadleuaeth mewn cyswllt â hawliau ac addysg plant; 4. yn gallu gwerthuso gwaith llywodraethau a chyfundrefnau amrywiol wrth ddarparu ymyrraeth a dadleuaeth ar gyfer plant mewn argyfwng; 5. yn gallu gwerthfawrogi ac adfyfyrio ar sut mae grwpiau gwirfoddol, ynunigol, yn seiliedig ar y gymuned, ac yn rhyngwladol, yn achosi newid cymdeithasol yn lleol, yn genedlaethol, ac yn rhyngwladol.
