Ask if you need anything

There are always times when students need a bit of extra information or guidance regardless of their age. You might be surprised how often younger students also ask the same things as you might, whether it’s to do with study, finances, family responsibilities or more individual problems. Below you will find links to what we hope is useful information

Don’t forget, if you want to speak to someone you are also welcome to contact the relevant section of Student Services, your Personal Tutor or the named Mature Student Contacts.

Use the day room

If you’re travelling in from quite long distances, it can sometimes be difficult finding somewhere to relax, away from the library and coffee bars. Apart from the student lounge in Main Arts there is a day room available on the ground floor of Neuadd Rathbone, off College Road. Here you can sit and relax and eat your sandwiches, read the newspaper etc. It’s a quiet discrete area that some find useful for breast feeding. If you wish to use it contact Student Services for the access code.
