Compulsory modules Students must take 60 credits in English language and 60 credits in English Literature. The compulsory module ‘Language and Culture: A Toolkit’ can count as English Language or English Literature credits. You must then take 40 credits in one subject and 60 credits in the other, including one compulsory module in each subject (QXE-1013 for English Literature and either QCL-1118 or QXL-1110 for English language).'

English Language modules Choose 1 module out of the remaining options. Your remaining credits will come from English Literature. (Remember you will need to ensure a balance of credits across both semesters.) Note that students need to understand Welsh in order to take QCL-2245 or QCL-2271. Welsh-speaking students are strongly encouraged to take these modules. The student must take 20 credits from the modules.
