Session Workshop 1 Policing the roads on a national, regional and local level
2 Criminal activity on the roads and procedure for pursuits
In addition to the classes provided distance learning based material (this will include Panopto recordings, video resources and web based learning resources) will be provided via blackboard to supplement students learning. Students will be expected to access these resources following workshops in order to assist in the completion of assessment tasks and further explore key learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes
- Critically review available prevention and disruption options available, to target criminal activity on the road network.
- Examine core policing functions and strategies relating to policing the roads.
- Examine legislation, police powers and the most common offences associated with policing the roads.
- Understand police powers in relation to commercial vehicle enforcement.
